Northleach became a market town when it received its Charter from Henry lll in 1227 AD - although it continues to this day to retain that magical 'Cotswold village' atmosphere. And the picturesque Market Place remains completely unspoilt

Half-timbered buildings and merchants' houses date from the 15th and 16th centuries. But for shopping facilities, you will find something for everyone in Northleach - from fresh bread and cakes, newspapers, magazines and cosmetics, fine meats and cheeses, to framed and mounted paintings and musical boxes.
As well as Christian worship, the parish church of St Peter and St Paul makes a delightful venue for many musical events. Classical concerts and participation in the Cheltenham Festival are regular favourites
Northleach has changed little since 1500 AD. The streets are rich in architectural and historical interest. And so, much of Northleach's character qualifies this country town to surely be described as a delightful secret of the Cotswolds
